The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Implement the agency’s outreach plan targeting underserved and marginalized communities.
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with new agencies, organizations, and community partners.
- Oversee community outreach events, presentations, and activities to increase awareness of CCSS programs and services.
- Provide information and promotional materials in language-appropriate formats to reach diverse populations.
- Develop collaborations with staff and partners to address unique barriers survivors face in accessing services.
- Track outreach activities, monitor service utilization, and maintain accurate documentation of contacts and program impact.
- Conduct outreach and provide services to historically underserved or marginalized victims of violent crime.
- Coordinate outreach efforts with other agency advocates to maximize program reach.
Safe Start & DV Education Support:
- Serve as a secondary Safe Start presenter during peak school season.
- Fill in for the DV Education Coordinator as needed.
- Provide accurate and compassionate referrals to clients, maintaining knowledge of local social service resources.
- Liaise with referral sources to strengthen awareness of Safe Start, DV Education, and Community Outreach programs.
- Represent CCSS at community events, fairs, and public speaking engagements to promote services and volunteer opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in community outreach, domestic violence, or youth education programs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel within the service area.
- Knowledge of social services and community resources preferred.
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally competent practices.

Location:
This position is based in the south suburban Chicago area, providing convenient access to schools, community partners, and local organizations. The location allows for easy travel within the agency’s service area and engagement with underserved communities.
