Saturday- Wednesday: 12 AM - 8 AM
About the Role
- Respond to the 24-hour crisis hotline, providing crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals to appropriate services.
- Conduct comprehensive client intakes, provide information about shelter services, and consult with approval staff regarding shelter admissions.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all hotline calls, intakes, and follow-up communications.
Residential Client Support:
- Facilitate shelter check-ins and check-outs, including room assignments and tours for new clients.
- Provide trauma-informed care and domestic violence education to clients, individually and in group settings.
- Support clients in daily living needs, including meal preparation, distribution of linens, and assisting with personal supply requests.
- Conduct room checks and monitor compliance with shelter guidelines in a compassionate and consistent manner.
- Facilitate group sessions focusing on life skills, conflict resolution, communication strategies, and safety planning.
- Maintain knowledge of local resources to provide accurate and supportive referrals to clients.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of client service data into the Info-Net database.
- Ensure shelter cleanliness, organization, and safety, including kitchens, pantries, client rooms, and common areas.
- Track and manage client belongings, storage, and room changes.
- Document all client interactions, activities, and issues accurately and in a timely manner in agency databases and reports.
- Support the training and onboarding of new staff, volunteers, and interns.
- Manage in-kind donations and ensure proper documentation and storage.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision to maintain professional development and service quality.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong organizational, project management, and workflow skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide trauma-informed services.
